It has now been around 40 minutes... or an hour... somewhere between there. You think it is time to check on the STAINING process.
When you reach your hands through the water... you cannot grab the mask though. You grab some powder that is dry and flaky... when you pull your hands out they are completely dry and you are holding a pile of eroded charcoal and burnt ash.
